Just wanted post this for new users who don’t know how to use the Taoist soap.

In general, you wet the soap and fingertips, and use only the fingertips and rub on the soap gently (not too hard not too soft). And then apply on only the most affected areas of the scalp or skin – the soap is strong enough and will affect other areas that you did not apply to, so don’t worry about missing an area, as application to most affected area is found to bring the most results for scalp as well as skin in general.

You leave the soap in the skin/scalp only for 2-3 seconds (very short) and wash off – you may use a shampoo or conditioner either before or afterwards as you see fit – ideally an SLS free shampoo would work best (especially if you have long hair). When finishing, you should wash your hair with cold water (only the hair/head part) as this will help with getting faster results.

If you have questions, then please post a thread and ask in the forum.

    UPDATE:

Nadia (one of the customers) also added a very useful guide on using the soap here: http://www.taoistsoapforum.com/forums/topic/best-way-to-use-the-taoist-soap/

    Enjoy

any shampoo that is lightweight, sls free, and possibly organic will be ideal. I cannot name brands, but there are a few out there.

    hope this helps

What would happen if for whatever reason the soap was not rinsed out.
    Would there be a problem

No that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Just make sure to rinse next time.

Very severe inflammation (where it is very visible and hurts a lot when touching scalp or skin) it is often left in, but this is rare and not needed for 99% of cases.
